Embedding Bloom

Embedding Bloom

- Let the leaves envelope you

The main focal point of “The Gilded Garden” really is the new “Embedding Bloom” print, although it’s not really a print, but more of a symbol. I was inspired by HC Anderssen’s classic tale of Thumbelina, where oversized flowers and leaves surround and “embedd” her, making her feel safe in an unknown miniature world. I wanted the PlayMat to imitate this lovely scene. Flowers really do have that calming effect on me and many others.
I was so pleased with how this anemone illustration turned out, and how the soft aquarelle captures the vintage feeling of fairy tales, that we decided to put it on quite a few other products as well. Getting the patterns right on the Baby Bib and Sun Hat was a technical challenge, but I’m so pleased with how they turned out.
Don’t be afraid to play around and be creative with how these products are used. Maybe the Muslin Blanket can double as a pretty (and pretty unique) sun curtain on your stroller. It’s trendy to be creative and find multi-uses on products.

Flowery Regards,
Linda
