Hi Linda! Tell us about yourself!

I'm a content creator and pr professional living in the heart of Helsinki. I'm currently at home with my 1,5 - year - old son August.

When is the best time of year to visit Helsinki?

We have four seasons, and each season has something to offer, but the summer months in Finland are just magical!

Tell us your top stroller-friendly spots for Breakfast, Lunch and Coffee & Play?

Way Bakery: This is not your typical “stroller friendly” place as it’s super tiny but you always somehow fit in and the atmosphere is always friendly, relaxed and cozy. The town's best pastries and breakfast in my opinion. They also serve a great pasta lunch and turn into a lovely wine bar in the evening.

St George bakery Helsinki: This bakery is located at my favourite hotel, and they have the tastiest breakfast and great coffee and pastries. It’s easy to access with a stroller by elevator and there are lots of cozy corners to hang out in. St. George bakery also has a lovely magazine and book collection to glance through while enjoying your coffee. It's also my go-to place for picking up a fresh loaf of levain bread for home!

Levain Merikortteli/Ullanlinna: Levain has two spots that I like, the one on Merikortteli is especially stroller friendly with a lot of space so it’s a great place to arrange a date with other moms and their strollers. Great spot for coffee, breakfast, or lunch!

Any favourite park or playground?

Our family has loved The Helsinki Central Library Oodi, for us just “Oodi”. It has a spacious playground for kids and pram parking. Oodi has a playground that organises many events for children, like nursery rhymes and story moments, play moments and themed days. There is also a cafeteria next to the kid’s playground so you can grab a takeaway coffee while you are running after the little one.

During warmer months we have many outdoor playgrounds close to our home. Lions’ Park at the Kaivopuisto beach is our go-to because it's spacious and by the sea.

Where do you go shopping?

Stockmann is one of our favourite places as you get a lot of things from under one roof. They have a lot of activities like a little playground for children. Stockmann also has the best nursery room so it’s our go-to in the city centre.

For kids’ stuff we love to go to Töölö where two of my favourite kids’ stores are located: Little Copenhagen for clothes (also second hand) and MoiMini for super cute toys.

Essentials to bring in your stroller and changing bag?

We are always on the go around the city, so our changing bag is always packed and ready to go! The Elodie MONDO’s Stow & Go Backpack is so handy for all the essentials like diapers, wipes, food, snacks, and a change of clothes.

What is your favourite feature on the Elodie MONDO Stroller?

We love how light and steady it is, perfect for exploring the city! Our favourite feature is probably the fully adjustable backrest for perfect naps on the go.
